Race Canceled
Today the race was canceled and the lifts are closed so we are doing homework, I know what a great replacement to skiing, but its alright were safe and that is what really matters. It's a bummer that both the races were canceled but it isn't about us right now its about the people here in Japan that are making sure their family members are safe.Thats all for now.
Race Day
Today is the Kombi and I also just learned that here in japan the 3rd largest earthquake ever recorded happened which triggered a large tsunami that is taking away towns and is taking peoples life's. Its a weird to think that if we would of gone some where else in japan that I might not be in the comfort I'm in. morning instead of waking up to an alarm clock I woke up after an after shock that shook my bed. Today is race day and I'm excited to see how all the Japanese people are at skiing.I will everyones results tonight.

EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!!!!
Ok so literally 30 seconds a earthquake just happened and it was awesome. The elevators started to shake up and down and it was a little bit sketchy but we survived except the top half off the building fell off no I'm kidding but it was life changing and speaking of life changing the toilet seats here are heated, theres more to that but thats as far as I will go, no need to fear cold toilet seat anymore!!!!!! Tomorrow is race day and I can't wait! Wish me luck.

First Day
Last Night we arrived, in our 60 person bus where we only took up 6 seats at 9:00 PM local time after 24 hours of traveling. We woke up this morning at 5:30 (thanks to jet lag) and wandered aimlessly around the hotel. We got on the lift at 9:00 and skied a foot of powder. After that we did the skier cross course about 10 times. This afternoon we went on a walk into town and had some jolly rancher in a cup.... it was green apple Fanta. We start to train tomorrow, I can't wait for the race.

Introduction
5 Skiers from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail have been offered the chance to go race all the way across the world in Japan. The trip has been genuresly sponsered by Goldwin, a Japenese Apparel company. The trip is one week long with about 4 days of skiing and racing and 2 days in Tokyo. We are going to the largest race in Asia (I think), 400 boys and girls will be racing. We are also staying in the Neaba Prince Hotel which is HUGE, it has 1,299 guest rooms, 23 restraunts, a game room, and a couple of pools. Anyways the plane leaves in exactly 34 hours and 26 minutes.... Ya I'm really excited
